The goal of this creative project was simple: design a Valentine's Day card using only typography. No hearts, no arrows, no expected imagery.
The harder challenge was finding something worth saying.
The concept came from Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime performance, which centered on a message of love over hate and featured the flags of Latin American countries displayed across the stage. That performance felt like a real cultural moment, and it gave the card a message that was specific, grounded, and personal to me.
I incorporated the Latin American flags into a bold typeface in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, building the letterforms from the flags themselves so that viewers who looked closely would discover the full image embedded in the text. The central phrase, "ama más," carries the performance's message directly, encouraging viewers to love more.
